During your cleaning, a hygienist will remove plaque from your teeth to prevent any future problems like cavities or gingivitis. Your dental hygienist will begin by reviewing any medical history or concerns with you, so feel free to ask questions!
At your first appointment, we’ll take as many x-rays as needed to get a holistic look at your teeth and jaw structure. This will help us catch any problems like decay or damage in advance so we can customize a treatment plan accordingly.
During your exam, Dr. Finney’s top priority is addressing your concerns, so don’t hesitate to let her know what questions you have! At this point, Dr. Finney will perform an oral cancer screening as well as a thorough exam of the gums, teeth, bite, and smile!
Using some of the most up-to-date technology, we’ll take a 3D photo of your entire mouth so that we can thoroughly examine your bite and any issues you may have. Our iTero scanner is able to capture these images quickly and create incredibly detailed results!

The only time you would see any additional costs are if you are electing for services outside of the outlined new patient special. If you are a new patient who is not using dental insurance for your first appointment and have no signs of periodontal disease, you'll qualify for our $179 new patient special. Feel free to ask our team about exceptions and additional services.
After your visit, you can expect to leave our office with the information and expert recommendations you need to be able to make an informed decision about the next steps towards your dream smile. Pamela, our Insurance/Financial Coordinator, will then review a written treatment plan with you and go over any associated costs.
